1. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account or using FarmOffer, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Safety Guidelines. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering agreements. If you use FarmOffer for a business, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that business.
2. FarmOffer’s role
FarmOffer provides an online marketplace where independent buyers and sellers can discover agricultural products, post demand and negotiate prices. FarmOffer is not the buyer, seller, producer, transporter, inspector, payment provider or agent in a user-to-user trade.
Transaction payments are made directly between users, normally in person after inspection. FarmOffer does not hold transaction funds, provide escrow or guarantee that a user, product, price, description, delivery or payment is genuine.
3. Accounts and identity
- Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
- Keep your sign-in details and device secure and notify FarmOffer promptly about suspected unauthorised access.
- Use one account only for lawful marketplace activity and do not impersonate another person or business.
- A verification badge means FarmOffer completed the checks stated for the pilot. It is not a guarantee of quality, solvency, ownership or future conduct.
4. Listings and buyer requests
You are responsible for everything you publish. Descriptions, prices, quantities, location, availability, quality, origin and collection or delivery terms must be clear and accurate. Sellers must have the legal right to sell the products they list.
- Do not list stolen, counterfeit, unsafe, contaminated, expired, illegally imported or otherwise unlawful goods.
- Do not make false claims about grade, certification, organic status, disease status, weight, origin or expected yield.
- Comply with all permits, veterinary, phytosanitary, food-safety, labelling, transport, customs and tax rules that apply to the product and route.
- Remove or update information promptly when stock, demand, price or availability changes.
5. Offers, negotiation and direct contracts
Users may make offers, counteroffers, accept or decline through FarmOffer. An accepted offer records the parties’ stated agreement at that time. Whether it creates a legally binding contract depends on the full communications, applicable law and any final terms agreed directly between the parties.
Before paying or handing over goods, users should confirm the product, quantity, condition, final price, currency, delivery or collection arrangements, taxes and the identity of the other party. FarmOffer is not a party to that agreement.
The Handover confirmation PIN is a six-digit PIN valid for 45 minutes on one accepted trade. Only the buyer can generate it, view it again or explicitly release it in FarmOffer. Release requires confirmation that goods were inspected, quantity and quality checked, handover is taking place and FarmOffer does not verify payment. Only the trade’s seller/supplier can view the released PIN; they must deliberately submit it to record completion. In-person manual PIN entry is also supported. Never share the PIN early by WhatsApp or phone. Digital release and completion records do not prove payment, quality, legal ownership or physical delivery. Internet is required for generation, release and verification. A previously displayed PIN can remain visible while the page is open; FarmOffer does not support offline verification. Regeneration has a 60-second cooldown and immediately invalidates the old PIN and release. Five wrong attempts lock the current PIN. Completion enables ratings and provides a timestamped receipt with Report a problem. FarmOffer keeps an actor-linked audit history of handover actions without recording the PIN in that history.
6. Seller access and fees
Seller access is free during the FarmOffer launch year from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027. Buyers can browse, post requests and make offers without a subscription. Marketplace transaction payments remain outside FarmOffer.
FarmOffer may introduce a seller subscription or access fee after the free launch year. Any future price, duration, payment instructions, refund terms and effective date will be announced before 31 August 2027 and presented before payment is requested. Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Safe and fair conduct
Users must follow the Safety Guidelines and treat others fairly. Threats, harassment, discrimination, spam, manipulation, fake reviews, collusion, price deception, fraud and attempts to obtain passwords or one-time codes are prohibited.
Keep relevant messages, inspection notes, receipts and proof of payment. Report suspicious activity to info@farmoffer.africa.
You may block another account through the reporting process. Blocking hides that account’s public products and requests from your signed-in view and prevents either account from starting a new FarmOffer negotiation with the other. It does not cancel an existing contract, report an offence to authorities or remove information from another user’s public view.
8. Moderation and account action
FarmOffer may review content and may restrict, hide or remove content or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, respond to reports or comply with law. Serious or repeated misconduct may lead to permanent removal and referral to an appropriate authority.
FarmOffer may preserve relevant records where reasonably required for safety, disputes or legal obligations.
9. Intellectual property
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give FarmOffer a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, format and display that content only as needed to operate, promote and improve the marketplace. You confirm that you have the right to provide the content.
The FarmOffer name, branding, interface and original platform content belong to FarmOffer or its licensors and may not be copied or misused.
10. Service availability and responsibility
FarmOffer is a developing pilot and may change, experience interruptions or contain errors. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability, a successful match or a completed trade.
To the extent permitted by law, FarmOffer is not responsible for losses caused by a user’s product, conduct, payment, delivery, misrepresentation or failure to complete a trade. FarmOffer does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.
11. Disputes and governing law
Buyers and sellers should first try to resolve a trade dispute directly and keep evidence of the transaction. Users may report the issue to FarmOffer and may use any consumer, regulatory or court remedy available under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, except where the law of another country gives a user mandatory rights that cannot be waived. As FarmOffer expands, country-specific terms may supplement these Terms.
12. Changes and contact
FarmOffer may update these Terms as the pilot develops or the marketplace expands. Material changes will be announced through the service or another reasonable method. Questions can be sent to info@farmoffer.africa.
